Porto walk idle, muted, playback speed 1×.
Porto is stacked. The city drops to the river in tiers, and the streets connecting them are steep, narrow and tiled, with buildings that lean into each other over the top. Down at the Ribeira it is riverfront and crowds; two hundred metres uphill it is laundry lines and cats and almost nobody. Walking that vertical distance is the whole experience of the city, and it does not translate into a still image at all.
