Dubrovnik video city walk

Dubrovnik’s old town is a single limestone surface — streets, stairs and walls all the same stone, polished by several centuries of feet until it reflects. It is small, entirely closed to traffic, and organised as one wide main street with dozens of stepped lanes running up from it at right angles. Walking it is a sequence of turns off that spine into something steep and narrow, then back down. The light does most of the work.

Common questions

Is the whole walk inside the walls?

Almost all of it. The route follows the Stradun and the stepped lanes climbing away from it, which is the part of the city that is genuinely pedestrian.

Does another walk start when this one ends?

Yes. Each walk plays to near its end and then hands over to another one in the same city, without changing the page or reloading anything.
