Edinburgh video city walk

Edinburgh is built on a ridge, and the Old Town hangs off both sides of it in closes and stairways that drop further than they look. The Royal Mile runs along the top, wide and grand and busy; step off it and you are in a stone passage six feet across, going down. The New Town on the other side is the opposite argument — flat, ordered, Georgian. Walking between the two takes minutes and explains the city better than any view of it does.

Common questions

Does the walk take the closes off the Royal Mile?

Yes, and that is the interesting part. The main street is only half the Old Town; the rest is the narrow stepped passages dropping away from it on both sides.

Can I make it full screen?

Yes. The full-screen button in the dock hands the whole display to the walk, and the chevron hides the controls entirely.
