İstanbul walk idle, muted, playback speed 1×.
İstanbul is loud, crowded and steep, and none of that comes across from above. At street level the city is a constant negotiation: hills that arrive without warning, sellers calling from doorways, tea being carried across traffic on a tray, cats everywhere and entirely unbothered. The old city and the streets running down to the water are dense enough that the view changes every few steps. These walks stay in the middle of it rather than looking at it from a distance.
