Amsterdam walk idle, muted, playback speed 1×.
Amsterdam at ground level is mostly a negotiation with bicycles. The canal ring is calm and repetitive in a way that becomes hypnotic — water, tree, narrow brick house, bridge, repeat — but the pavement is narrow and the bike lane beside it is not calm at all. These walks keep to the canals and the streets that cross them, at the pace of someone who lives there rather than someone photographing it, so the repetition has time to become the point.
